The Rinker Center for International Programs hosts culture exchanges each week where a student or group of students presents information on a country. Most of the culture exchanges are led by students native to that country and every week a different country is highlighted. The majority of exchanges provide an overview of the country and its culture with time set aside for a question and answer session. We hope to see you there!

Mongolia is a landlocked country in east-central Asia. It is bordered by Russia to the north and China to the south, east and west. While they do not share a border, Mongolia is separated from Kazakhstan by only 36.76 kilometers (22.84 mi). Ulaanbaatar, the capital and largest city, is home to about 45% of the population.
At 1,564,116 square kilometers (603,909 sq mi), Mongolia is the 19th largest and one of the most sparsely populated independent countries in the world, with a population of around 3 million people. It is also the world's second-largest landlocked country. The country contains very little arable land, as much of its area is covered by grassy steppe, with mountains to the north and west and the Gobi Desert to the south.

Belarus officially the Republic of Belarus, is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe[8] bordered by Russia to the northeast, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, and Lithuania and Latvia to the northwest. Its capital is Minsk; other major cities include Brest, Hrodna (Grodno), Homiel (Gomel),Mahilioŭ (Mogilev) and Vitsebsk (Vitebsk). Over 40% of its 207,600 square kilometres (80,200 sq mi) is forested. Its strongest economic sectors are service industries and manufacturing.
Over 70% of Belarus's population of 9.49 million resides in urban areas. More than 80% of the population is ethnic Belarusian, with sizable minorities of Russians, Poles and Ukrainians. Since a referendum in 1995, the country has had two official languages: Belarusian and Russian. The Constitution of Belarus does not declare any official religion, although the primary religion in the country is Eastern Orthodox Christianity. The second most popular, Roman Catholicism, has a much smaller following, although both Orthodox and Catholic versions of Christmas and Easter are celebrated as national holidays.
Belarus is the only country in Europe that retains capital punishment in law and practice

Germany officially the Federal Republic of Germany i s a federal parliamentary republic in West-Central Europe. It includes 16 constituent states and covers an area of 357,021 square kilometers (137,847 sq. mi) with a largely temperate seasonal climate. In the 21st century, Germany is a great power and has the world's fourth-largest
economy by nominal GDP, as well as the fifth-largest by PPP. As a global leader in several industrial and
technological sectors, it is both the world's third-largest exporter and importer of goods. Germany is a developed
country with a very high standard of living sustained by a skilled and productive society. It upholds a social
security and universal health care system, environmental protection and a tuition-free university education.
Germany is a member of the United Nations, NATO, the G8, the G20, and the OECD.

Ceren Dincel will give a presentation on her country of origin TURKEY! Turkey, officially the Republic of Turkey, is a parliamentary republic in Eurasia, largely located in Western Asia, with the smaller portion of Eastern Thrace in Southeast Europe. They also separate
Europe and Asia. Turkey's location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia makes it a
country of significant geo-strategic importance. Turkey is a democratic,
secular, unitary, constitutional republic with a diverse cultural heritage. The country's
official language is Turkish, a Turkic language spoken natively by approximately
85 percent of the population.

Spain, officially the Kingdom of Spain, is a sovereign state largely located on the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe. Extending to 1,214 km (754 mi), the Portugal–Spain border is the longest uninterrupted border within the European Union. Spain is a democracy organized in the form of a parliamentary government under a constitutional monarchy. Spain's
capitalist mixed economy is the 16th largest worldwide and the 5th largest in the
European Union, as well as the Eurozone's 4th largest.

The reason we call it Laughter Yoga is because it combines laughter exercises with yoga breathing. This brings more oxygen to the body and the brain which makes one feel more energetic and healthy.

Italy is located in Southern Europe. It is shaped like a high-heeled boot kicking a ball. A flight to Rome takes roughly 2.5 hours from London/England. Italy has two big islands Sicily and Sardinia and many smaller ones such as Capri, Elba and Ischia. In the north of Italy, there are many hills and mountains, many long deep lakes, and volcanos in the south.

Bolivia is in the heart of South America and surrounded by Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Peru. The size of Bolivia is equivalent to California and Texas combined. It has the second-largest reserve of natural gas in South America. There are more than 35 official languages in Bolivia.
